TENAX is a stainless steel padding that replaces the standard roller padding made of steelwool. Purposely studied and dimensioned by GMP for its products, TENAX lasts for the entire life of the ironer and opposite to the steelwool does not require any maintenance. TENAX padding is sold with 5 years warranty.

In a medium-term perspective, TENAX should rather be considered as an investment with immediate return than as a pure cost: in fact, it guarantees a considerable reduction of maintenance and running expenses, improving at the same time the ironing quality and productivity.

Why should you prefer GMP original spare part and not just replace the steelwool? The chest ironer guarantees a good ironing finish only provided the roller padding is compact and even in the circumference. The homogenous finish GMP can achieve at the manufacturing premises with automation cannot be obtained applying the steelwool directly on board of the ironer, affecting the ironing quality and the lifespan of the padding.

GMP recommends a regular use of G.SIL, a practical silicone product to be sprayed on the roller, with the function to reduce and eliminate the friction between the textile cover of the roller and the chromed surface of the chest, extending the lifespan of the ironer cover.
